Ada S. Jaarsma is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Mount Royal University, where she teaches continental philosophy, feminist philosophy, philosophy of science, and existentialism. Her book, Kierkegaard after the Genome: Science, Existence and Belief in This World (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017) explores the existential import of phenomena like epigenetics and placebo effects.  She facilitates a podcast and audio project, The Learning Gene, in collaboration with students.
