Travis LaCouter
Travis LaCouter (DPhil Oxon.) is a Visiting Lecturer in the department of Religious Studies at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. His doctoral work focused on Hans Urs von Balthasar’s theology of prayer, and his scholarly work is devoted to engagements between Catholic systematic theology and contemporary critical theory. His current research focuses on the notion of parrhesia as the basis for a theology of protest. He is a Research Associate at the Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology (Cambridge, UK) and his criticism has appeared in Commonweal, The Baffler, and US Catholic magazine.
