P. Khalil Saucier teaches Critical Black Studies at Bucknell University. He is the editor or various books, author of Necessarily Black: Cape Verdean youth, hip-hop culture, and a critique of identity (MSU Press), and co-author of the forthcoming Ex Aqua in the Mediiterranean: Excavating Black power in the Migrant Question (Manchester UP).
