Nicholas Hayes-Mota
Nicholas Hayes-Mota is a PhD Candidate in Theological Ethics at Boston College. His dissertation examines the historical and theological relationship between the tradition of Catholic social thought and the Alinsky tradition of community organizing, and draws on both to develop a constructive theological ethic of the common good. More broadly, Nicholas works at the intersection of contemporary Thomistic ethics; public, political, and liberation theologies; and the study of faith-based civic organizations and social movements. Nicholas’s scholarship is also informed by his thirteen years as a student and practitioner of faith-based community organizing.
