Shana Redmond
Shana L. Redmond is the author of Anthem: Social Movements and the Sound of Solidarity in the African Diaspora (2014) and Associate Professor of Musicology and African American Studies at UCLA. Currently she is pursuing the states of matter and radical science of Paul Robeson. Closer to home, she assumes the role of Patti LaBelle in karaoke performances of “On My Own” (1986).
