Peter Goodwin Heltzel is the author of Jesus and Justice: Evangelicals, Race and American Politics, Resurrection City: A Theology of Improvisation,  and most recently Faith-Rooted Organizing: Mobilizing for the Common Good and the co-editor of Prophetic Evangelicals: Envisioning a Just and Peaceable Kingdom, Mobilizing for the Common Good: The Lived Theology of John M. Perkins, and Evangelicals and Empire: Christian Alternatives to the Political Status Quo. He is Associate Professor of Theology and Director of the Micah Institute at New York Theological Seminary.
