Nyle Fort

A graduate of Morehouse College and Princeton Theological Seminary, Nyle Fort is an ordained minister, freelance writer, and community organizer based in Newark, NJ. Fort is currently applying to doctoral programs. His intellectual interests include—but are not limited to—critical race theory, African American studies, the US prison system, hip-hop culture and what he calls “the politics of storytelling.” Fort has featured articles in Harvard’s Journal of African American Public Policy (2013 & 2014 editions), The GuardianBlack Girl Dangerous, and The Feminist Wire. He is the newest member of the literary collective “Brothers Writing to Live.”
