Dr. Natali Valdez is an assistant professor of anthropology at Purdue University, and this year she is a Presidential Fellow at Yale University. Her book Weighing the Future was awarded the 2023 Eileen Basker Memorial prize from the society of medical anthropology for the most “courageous and significant contribution to gender and health.” It was also a finalist for the Ludwik Fleck prize of the social studies of science.
