Mandy Rodgers-Gates
Mandy Rodgers-Gates studies theological understandings of suffering and death in the life of discipleship. She focuses particularly on Latin American and Hispanic theology. She has participated in the Latino Protestant Congregations Project, undertaking fieldwork with Latino Protestant churches in the U.S., and frequently teaches intensive courses in theology and Bible in Latin America. She is finishing her Th.D. at Duke Divinity, with a dissertation focused on the witness of Oscar Romero and the martyred priests of El Salvador.
