Madeline Cronin
Dr. Madeline Ahmed Cronin is a lecturer in Philosophy at Santa Clara University specializing in social and political philosophy, ethics, and feminist theory. She is interested in how culture shapes the conditions for moral and political judgment and how politics shapes aesthetic judgments. Recent projects include an investigation of eighteenth-century debates about a so-called standard of taste, and how these might illuminate contemporary discourse about the value of the humanities, just access to healthy food, and civil discourse and public speech.
