Luigi Gioia

Luigi Gioia is a research associate at the Von Hügel Institute, Cambridge University (UK) and lecturer on Systematic Theology in several theological colleges in the UK. He is the director of formation in the Parish of St Paul Knightsbridge in London. Previously, he was Associate Professor of Systematic Theology at the Pontifical University of S. Anselmo in Rome and has lectured on Ecclesiology, Trinity, Theology of History, Anthropology and Spirituality, Liturgy and Ecclesiology and Justification both at graduate and undergraduate level. He is author of numerous scholarly articles and books, including The Theological Epistemology of Augustine’s De Trinitate (Oxford, 2009), Say it to God: In Search of Prayer: The Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lent Book 2018 (Bloomsbury, 2017), Touched by God. The Way to Contemplative Prayer (Bloomsbury, 2018) and St Benedict’s Wisdom. Monastic Spirituality and the Life of the Church (Liturgical Press, 2020).
