Lexi Eikelboom

Lexi Eikelboom is a Research Fellow in Religion and Theology with the Institute for Religion and Critical Inquiry at Australian Catholic University. She is currently at work on a monograph that explores how various iterations of the idea of form – both artistic and metaphysical – can help us think about navigating change. She is also a principal investigator for a project called “Spiritual Understanding in a Secular Age: Engaging Art as Religious Ritual.” The project, funded by the Templeton Religion Trust as part of their Art Seeking Understanding scheme, investigates how research on religious practice can help illuminate how art practice contributes to spiritual insight. Lexi’s work has appeared in the Journal of the American Academy of Religion, the Journal of Christian Ethics, and The Journal of Religion (forthcoming). She is also a painter working out of the Aerie Creative Ecology at the Burrinja Cultural Center.
