Jennifer Lowell
Jennifer Lowell is a second year PhD student in Philosophy at Vanderbilt examining the medical ethics, aesthetics, medical ethics, and the history of western philosophy to assess the ways in which perception and social values shape concepts of care and social practices. She is especially interested in how aesthetic principles and understandings of self and other inform perceptions of whom and what should be cared for, and how. Jennifer received her BA from Harvard in Philosophy and Classics and her MPhil in Medieval Studies from Trinity College Dublin.
