Gil Anidjar
Gil Anidjar is Professor in the Department of Religion, the Department of Middle East South Asian and African Studies, and at the Institute for Comparative Literature and Society at Columbia University. Among his publications are The Jew, the Arab: A History of the Enemy (Stanford UP, 2003), “The Idea of an Anthropology of Christianity” (Interventions: International Journal of Postcolonial Studies 11: 3 [2009]), “The Meaning of Life” (Critical Inquiry 37: 4 [Summer 2011]) and “Survival” (Political Concepts: A Critical Lexicon 2 [Winter 2012]).
