Filipe Maia

Filipe Maia is Assistant Professor of Theology at Boston University School of Theology and has formally taught at Pacific School of Religion. His research and teaching focus on liberation theologies, theology and economics, and the Christian eschatological imagination. In dialogue with Marxist political economy, political theory, and continental philosophy, Filipe’s scholarship pays special attention to the ways in which imaginaries about the future shape politics, economics, and cultural patterns. He is currently working on a book manuscript that proposes a theological critique of financialized capitalism.
