Farah Focquaert
Dr. Farah Focquaert is a Research Fellow at the Department of Philosophy and Moral Sciences and the Bioethics Institute Ghent, Ghent University. Her work focuses on the philosophy of free will and the ethics of moral bio-enhancement and neuromodulation. She was Visiting Research Fellow at the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience, Dartmouth College and visiting scholar at the Department of Criminology and the Center for Neuroscience and Society, UPenn. Last year, she was a visiting scholar at the Department of Bioethics at the National Institutes of Health (USA). She is co-director of the international Justice without Retribution Network and vice chair of the ethics committee at the Forensic Psychiatric Center Ghent.
