Danielle’s research focuses on the intersection between theology and spirituality, trinitarian theology, Hans Urs von Balthasar, John Henry Newman, and feminist theology. She co-edited, John Henry Newman and the Crisis of Modernity (Lexington/Fortress, 2018) with Brian W. Hughes. She has also published on Balthasar’s theology of Holy Saturday, Balthasar and Newman on sainthood in modernity, Catholic feminist theology, and contemplation and action. Forthcoming publications include essays on Dei Verbum and the saints as scriptural interpreters and Lonergan and psychic conversion.
