Courtney Bryant is a womanist, Christian social ethicist pursuing her PhD in Religion: Ethics and Society, at Vanderbilt University. Her current projects focus on the erotic as a divine resource for moral agency. From the vantage point of black female embodiment, she considers the impact of eros on identity construction, the materiality of liberation, and relational ethics. As an ordained reverend, Courtney serves as Minister of Social Justice at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, in Nashville, where she currently resides.
