Christian P. Haines is an assistant professor of English at Penn State University. He is the author of A Desire Called America: Biopolitics, Utopia, and the Literary Commons (Fordham University Press, 2019) and co-editor of a special issue of the minnesota review, entitled “Is there a place for the commons?” (November 2019). He’s also a contributing editor for Angelaki: Journal of the Theoretical Humanities. He’s currently writing a book on finance and culture, entitled The Scored Life, and co-editing a collection of essays, Speculative Materialisms in the Nineteenth Century.
