Bonnie Howe, PhD, teaches at New College Berkeley. Her research employs cognitive linguistic theories and methods to analyze moral discourse. The cofounder of the Cognitive Linguistics and Biblical Interpretation group in the Society of Biblical Literature, Howe is also the author of Because You Bear This Name: Metaphor and the Moral Meaning of 1 Peter, and coeditor (with Joel Green) of Cognitive Linguistic Explorations in Biblical Studies.
