Timothy McGee is a Schubert M. Ogden Fellow and Doctoral Candidate at Southern Methodist University in the field of Systematic Theology. His dissertation is a complex meditation on the theological and political trajectories opened through James Cone’s claim, in A Black Theology of Liberation, that “Christian freedom is the recognition that Christ has conquered death.”
