Tempest M. Henning is a Doctoral Candidate in Philosophy at Vanderbilt University.  Henning’s dissertation focuses on problems arising from veritistic models of white ignorance, arguing in favor for knowledge coupled with another conception of cognitive achievement – understanding.  Her research interests include epistemology, agnotology, black feminist philosophy, and argumentation theory.
