Stan Chu Ilo is a research professor of African Studies and World Christianity at the Center for World Catholicism and Intercultural Theology, DePaul University, Chicago, and an honorary professor of religion and theology, Durham University, Durham, United Kingdom. He is the author of A Poor and Merciful Church: The Illuminative Ecclesiology of Pope Francis; The Church and Development in Africa; and the editor of Pentecostalism, Catholicism and the Spirit in the World among other books.
