Shon Meckfessel received his PhD in English (Language and Rhetoric) from the University of Washington in 2014, and is English Faculty at Highline. He is the author of Nonviolence Ain’t What It Used To Be: Unarmed Insurrection and the Rhetoric of Resistance (AK Press, 2016) and Suffled How It Gush: A North American Anarchist in the Balkans (AK Press, 2009) as well as recent articles in South Atlantic Quarterly and Literacy in Composition Studies.
