Sarah Maple
Sarah Maple is a PhD candidate at the University of St. Andrews’s Institute for Theology Imagination & the Arts, where her work focuses on establishing an aesthetic of personhood and the relationality between the beautiful and abstract, under the supervision of Mark Elliot. Using a theology of personhood by way of John Paul II’s A Theology of the Body, she particularly focuses on the disappearance and return of the body and form within the works of Abstract Expressionist painter William Congdon.
