Sean Larsen is the managing editor of Syndicate. He teaches courses in religion, philosophy, and cultural studies at Carroll University in Wisconsin. He is currently working on multiple writing projects, including a monograph, “Naked and Unashamed: Rethinking Sex and Politics with Augustine,” which shows how Augustine’s views on God, the self, Christ, eternity, sexuality, and politics were shaped by the Roman distinction between the city and the household. He is also writing a short book on James Baldwin and recent trajectories in Christian social ethics.
