Michael McCarthy is the assistant director for clinical and theological ethics and co-directs the Physician’s Vocation Program at Loyola University Chicago (LUC) Stritch School of Medicine. He is completing his dissertation in theological ethics under the direction of the McCormick Chair for Moral Theology at LUC, Dr. Hille Haker. His dissertation focuses on developing a social bioethic capable of addressing the rapid developments within medical research from the perspective of liberation theology.
