Max Botner is associate professor of biblical studies at Jessup University and the director of the Center for Bible Study. His primary research interests include ancient biblical interpretation, ancient messianism and Christology, and Jewish and Christian sacrificial theologies. His first book, Jesus Christ as the Son of David in the Gospel of Mark, won the 2021 Manfred Lautenschlaeger Award for Theological Promise.
