Markus Hardtmann is a teacher of German in the Modern Language Centre at King’s College London, University of London. His research areas include critical and literary theory, media studies, and the intersection of literature and the sciences in German and comparative literature from the 18^th century to the present. His current book project, The Occasionality of Meaning: Robert Musil’s Mathematical Modernism, examines Musil’s writings in the context of contemporaneous debates surrounding the foundations of mathematics.
