Karen Lebacqz
Rev. Dr. Karen Lebacqz wrote her dissertation on prenatal diagnosis and selective abortion. Ordained in the United Church of Christ, she taught ethics– especially bioethics–at McGill University, Yale University, and the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley. Author of some eight books and dozens of essays, her passions are social justice and good ethical argument. She is the 2019 recipient of the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Society of Christian Ethics.
