Julie Orlemanski is Assistant Professor of English at the University of Chicago and the author of Symptomatic Subjects: Bodies, Medicine, and Causality in the Literature of Late Medieval England (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2019). She is at work on two new research projects, one on fictionality and historical difference, the other on prosopopoeia in the Middle Ages.
