Jean-Michel Landry is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley. His work focuses on Islamic Law and the anthropological uses of critical theory. Jean-Michel is affiliated with the Institut Français du Proche-Orient and will be a Banting Postdoctoral fellow at McGill University in 2017-18 and 2018-19.
