James Alison
James Alison is a Catholic priest, theologian and author. His principal work has been exploring the consequences for systematic theology of the mimetic insight of René Girard. In addition, as an out gay man he has been gently pushing for honest discussion about gay related matters in the Catholic Church for over twenty years. He is currently working on the question of what it means to be taught by Christ as, and in the, Church as part of an extended exploration of ecclesiology. He lives in Madrid, but travels frequently to teach and accompany retreats in North and South America, Australia, as well as other parts of Europe, including his native UK. Further info and many of his texts can be found on his site: www.jamesalison.co.uk
