Jakob Karl Rinderknecht is the Director of the Pastoral Institute at the University of the Incarnate Word. His recent book, Mapping the Differentiated Consensus of the Joint Declaration, (Palgrave, 2015), uses cognitive mapping to demonstrate how ecumenical consensus is possible between separated Christians. He is currently co-editing a collection of essays, Putting God on the Map: Theology and Cognitive Mapping, (Fortress) that demonstrates how cognitive mapping can be useful across theological disciplines.
