Fred Ablondi is Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas.  He works primarily in 17th century continental philosophy, though he has published on the Scottish philosophers Francis Hutcheson, James Beattie, John Millar, and Andrew Baxter. He is the author of two books, Gerauld de Cordemoy: Atomist, Occasionalist, Cartesian (Marquette, 2005) and Reading Nature’s Book: Galileo and the Birth of Modern Philosophy (P. Lang, 2016).
