David Newheiser is a Senior Research Fellow in the Institute for Religion and Critical Inquiry at ACU. He is the author of Hope in a Secular Age (Cambridge, 2019), editor of The Varieties of Atheism (Chicago, 2022), and co-editor of Secular Art and Spiritual Practice (in preparation). He is writing a book on the link between premodern miracle traditions and democratic imagination.
