David Berka is a writer of fiction and nonfiction, an independent scholar, and a trade unionist. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School, and degrees in philosophy and psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His academic interests lie primarily in issues of literature, language, truth, work and labor, ethics, and political theory. He lives in Milwaukee.
