Colin Koopman is an Associate Professor in Philosophy and Director of New Media & Culture at the University of Oregon. He has written two books:Pragmatism as Transition: Historicity and Hope in James, Dewey, and Rorty (2009) and Genealogy as Critique: Foucault and the Problems of Modernity (2013). His published articles on pragmatism have appeared in Journal of the History of Philosophy, diacritics, Metaphilosophy, Contemporary Pragmatism, Transactions of the Charles S.Peirce Society, and elsewhere. He is currently working on a pragmatic genealogy of the politics of information and informational personhood.
