Carl B. Sachs is an assistant professor at Marymount University (Virginia). In addition to Intentionality and the Myths of the Given, he has published on the intersections between phenomenology, critical theory, and American pragmatism. He received his PhD from University of California at San Diego and is a co-founder (with Willem deVries) of the Wilfrid Sellars Society, of which he is presently vice-president.
