Beatrice Marovich
Beatrice Marovich is currently an assistant professor in the Philosophy & Religion Department at the University of North Dakota. She finished a PhD at Drew University’s Graduate Division of Religion in the spring of 2014. Her research interests revolve around environmental justice issues, especially as they relate to gender, animality, and mortality. She is also interested in theories of religion, the secular, and the postsecular. She is currently working on a book manuscript, Dream of the Creature: On Animal Utopia, that examines the spiritualization and utopianization of animal life.
