Andrew Santana Kaplan

Andrew Santana Kaplan is a doctoral student in the Comparative Literature program at Emory University, studying at the intersection of Black studies, continental philosophy, political theology, psychoanalysis, and aesthetics. Their project posits “the Black messianic” as a paradigm that allegorically reads the latent theological signatures of anti-/Blackness across these sites in order to elaborate potential liturgical texts which could enable non-Blacks to libidinally divest from Humanity as a means of preparing readiness to destroy the anti-Black World. Andrew’s work is published, forthcoming, or under-review in The Comparatist, Oraxiom: A Journal of Non-Philosophy, and Political Theology.
