Andrew Howat is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at California State University, Fullerton. His research focuses on pragmatist conceptions of truth; Peirce’s logic, metaphysics, and epistemology; and on philosophical methodology. His teaching increasingly focuses on adapting logic and critical thinking training for the peculiarities of the post-truth era. He is originally from Scotland, enjoys writing and recording original(ish) “dad rock”, reading sci-fi and fantasy, and hiking Southern California with his multi-talented wife Laura and his husky-shepherd Kaia.
