Todd Walatka is Assistant Chair for Graduate Studies at the University of Notre Dame and specializes in Catholic systematic theology. His recent publications include “The Principle of Mercy: Jon Sobrino and the Catholic Theological Tradition.” Theological Studies (2016) and  “Church as Sacrament: Gutiérrez and Sobrino as Interpreters of Lumen Gentium,” Horizons (2015). His forthcoming book from Catholic University of America Press is Von Balthasar and the Option for the Poor: Theodramatics in the Light of Liberation Theology.
