Saskia Cornes
Saskia Cornes is an assistant professor of the practice at Duke’s Franklin Humanities Institute and Program Director of the Duke Campus Farm. By bringing academic expertise in the environmental humanities together with experiential pedagogies in food and food justice and practical experience in sustainable agriculture, her teaching and research work to rethink our relationship to food, and to the land and people that grow it. She holds a PhD in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University and studied organic agriculture at the Center for Agroecology at UC Santa Cruz.
