Natalie Wigg-Stevenson
Natalie Wigg-Stevenson is Associate Professor of Contextual Education and Theology at Emmanuel College (Toronto). Her research engages how academic theological discourse can be reimagined through ethnographic methodological interventions. She’s particularly interested in questions of theological normativity and performativity, as well as with decolonizing pedagogy. She is author of Ethnographic Theology: An Introduction to the Production of Theological Knowledge (Palgrave, 2013), Transgressive Devotion: Theology as Performance Art (SCM Press, 2021), and numerous journal and magazine articles, her current work explores issues of theological genre through the lens of Creative Non-Fiction approaches.
