Matt Brim is Professor of Queer Studies at the College of Staten Island and affiliate faculty in the Women’s and Gender Studies Program at the Graduate Center, City University of New York. He is author of Poor Queer Studies: Confronting Elitism in the University (2020), which won the Working-Class Studies Association’s Ryan and Sackrey Book award, as well as James Baldwin and the Queer Imagination (2014) and the open access study guide for the documentary film United in Anger: A History of ACT UP (2012). His coedited collections include Queer Sharing in the Marketized University (2022), Imagining Queer Methods(2019), and the forthcoming Queer Precarities in and out of Higher Education (2023).
