Faraz Sheikh

Faraz Sheikh is the Hans Tiefel Associate Professor of Religious Ethics in the Department of Religious Studies at the College of William & Mary. Sheikh’s research interests include Islamic ethics, religious and moral subjectivity, ethical and mystical traditions, and political, environmental, and social ethics. His first monograph is Forging Ideal Muslim Subjects: Discursive Practices, Subject Formation, and Muslim Ethics (Lexington Press, 2020) His articles have appeared in Comparative Islamic Studies, the Journal of Religious Ethics, and Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations.
