Eleanor Craig is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Emory University. Their research examines the entanglements of religion with gender, race, and coloniality across philosophical and literary traditions, drawing on queer theory, critical ethnic studies, decolonial philosophy, and psychoanalysis. Craig is co-editor, with An Yountae, of Beyond Man: Race, Coloniality, and Philosophy of Religion and has co-edited special issues of Political Theology and Representations. Their current monograph project, Fated Falls: Religious Imaginaries at the Limits of the Human, investigates how concepts such as fallenness and original sin shape theories of trauma, race, gender, sexuality, and humanity. A second book project explores religion, gender, coloniality, and race in Asian American feminist poetics. Craig has been a Short-Term Fellow at the Yale Institute of Sacred Music and is active in the American Academy of Religion.
