Dirk Lange is Academic Dean, Professor of Worship and Frederik A. Schiotz Chair of Christian Missions at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. A Lutheran pastor Lange was for many years a former brother of the Community of Taize, where he helped organize prayer groups in the underground churches of Eastern Europe. He received his STM from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, and his PhD from Emory University. He is the author of Trauma Recalled: Liturgy, Disruption and Theology (Fortress Press).
