Claire Katz

Claire Katz is Professor of Philosophy and Education and Department Head of Teaching, Learning, and Culture at Texas A&M University where he holds the Claude H. Everett, Jr ’47 Endowed Chair in Education. She teaches and conducts research in two primary lines of inquiry: 1. contemporary French philosophy, Jewish philosophy, and gender and 2. philosophy of education and K-12 philosophy. She is the author of Levinas, Judaism, and the Feminine, Levinas and the Crisis of Humanism, and An Introduction to Modern Jewish Philosophy and the editor of Emmanuel Levinas: Critical Assessments (vol 1-4), Growing up with Philosophy Camp, and Philosophy Camps for Youth.
